Tell us about your role at your company and your company’s focus?

At Inventronics, I'm responsible for Standardization and Regulatory Affairs.

Inventronics is a leading manufacturer of components (LED drivers, LED modules, connectivity solution) for the luminaire manufacturers.

What inspired your team to get involved with Thread Group?

Today’s dominating digital lighting control protocol for commercial buildings is DALI, a wired connectivity technology.

Inventronics is the company with the largest number of certified DALI products worldwide and a leading company in wireless connectivity for commercial lighting. Thread is the ideal networking solution to extend DALI into the wireless space, which is a key area of innovation in commercial lighting.

What are some ways your organization is using Thread today?

We are developing LED drivers, sensors and lighting controls basedon Thread and DALI+ technology. Inventronics is a key contributor toDALI Alliance in their endeavor to make DALI IP based and wirelessready. Inventronics was the first company certifying a DALI+ LEDdriver and is pushing to extend the DALI+ certification programaiming for full DALI based wireless controls systems, yet allowinghybrid systems leveraging the large portfolio of around 7000 certifiedwired DALI products.

What is one thing you’ve learned from other Thread Groupmembers that has influenced your work?

Thread is a great community for companies aiming to become IoTleaders.

We learned how to optimally use the open source ecosystem andThread Group developed testing tools around Thread.
