As the foundation for secure, reliable, and scalable IoT connectivity in homes, commercial buildings, and beyond, Thread certification ensures that each product has passed rigorous testing to meet our highest standards for reliability, security, and interoperability; ensuring that devices with the "Built on Thread" badge recognize, trust, and connect to each other seamlessly, right out of the box.

With support from major smart home ecosystems, including Amazon, Apple, Google, and Samsung, the breadth of certified products across diverse categories makes this achievement especially meaningful. Commercial IoT, Unlocked
Thread certified products are also revolutionizing commercial buildings. For example, DALI+ uses Thread to bring wireless control into the DALI ecosystem, and when combined with DALI‑2, it enables hybrid systems that simplify integration in intelligent buildings. This spring, LightFair Innovation Awards honored this effort by recognizing DALI+ as one of “the most groundbreaking developments in the lighting and controls industry,” in recent years.
The Thread 1.4 specification unlocked powerful new capabilities, including credential sharing, enhanced internet connectivity, and secure commissioning at scale. As a result, products with Thread 1.4 create intelligent, sustainable, and service-oriented environments.
